Sinai Scholars - The Wisdom of Sinai: Revolutionary Ideas that Judaism introduced to the World
The Sinai Scholars Society offers a fresh and exciting context for Jewish life and learning on university campuses. Sinai Scholars is an eight week course about the Ten Commandments and their modern day application. It is a professional and intellectually stimulating course taught by trained instructors, using text books and multi media presentations. All levels of Judaic knowledge are welcome, and no previous knowledge is necessary.
The curriculum at the Sinai Scholars Society doesn’t just pick up where Hebrew school left off. Our courses present the living tradition of authentic Jewish scholarship. We address important issues in modern life in light of the ancient sources, and give you a chance to find your voice in a discussion that stretches across three millennia. Intriguing, challenging, and sophisticated, the learning experience at Sinai Scholars draws you into the pure pleasure of Torah study. More than inspiring and thoughtful — it is also fun.
Classes will be held once a week from 7-9PM on Tuesday for 8 consecutive weeks beginning on January 10th. Upon completion of the course, including 2 short paper and a survey, participants will be eligible to receive a $350 stipend for their time as well as free admission to The Jewish Retreat and other perks.
